On July 24, 2017, MahaRERA had laid down the procedure for handling information about the projects, that ought to have been registered but have not registered. Anyone who felt, a particular real estate project, should have been registered under MahaRERA, but is not registered, could give information under this section.

Before filing information online, First verify whether project is registered with MahaRERA by searching project on MahaRERA website. If you find that project has not been registered, then you need to provide information in online application under Inform Non-registration tab.

Source Information and Source complaint are two methods to inform non-registration.

A)Source Information

Any Citizen/informant can submit the information about the unregistered real estate projects by filing online application form available under Inform non-registration tab on MahaRERA Website without any cost.

In this source information section, kindly give as much information as possible, to enable technical officer to investigate about non-registration.

Once you have submitted the details and verified through the OTP. Source information number will be assigned. Please preserve this SI number for future enquiry about status of the investigation.

This online SI will be assigned to Technical Officers for further scrutinize information investigation. On completion of investigation the decision would be updated on the informant’s dashboard as well as the portal.

If the project is missing on some approvals of the respective planning or public authorities (such as land, water, electricity boards), then those authorities shall be intimated to take action as appropriate.

B)Source Complaint

Any informant may submit source complaint online by filing online application form available under Inform non-registration tab on MahaRERA Website.

If the informant wants a hearing with the authority to present the facts of the case, they would have to pay a fees of 5000 Rupees. After successful payment Source Complaint (SC) number will be generated and complaint will be assigned to technical officer.

After submission of source complaint informant need to serve complaint copy to respondent and update status in the respective source complaint. Informant shall update status of served complaint under Non-Registration Application Status tab.

On receipt of source complaint technical officer will schedule the hearing with appropriate authority. Notice of Hearing will be sent on the registered email id of the informant and respondent.

On the hearing date, the complainant shall provide the declaration that copy of the complaint along with hearing details has been duly served upon the respondent.

After Hearing ruling of the Authority will be uploaded on the website and the decision would be updated on the informant’s dashboard as well as on the MahaRERA Website for public.
